Jeremy James

...Bread and Jam isn't just a jazz club, of course.  The cafe welcomes a variety of musical styles and has hosted a number of CD release parties for local artists over the past year.

The latest CD release party comes this Friday night, Oct. 23, in celebration of the release of Jeremy James' "Such Noble Men."  This is the acoustic pop-folk songwriter's first album since 2007's "Landlocked" and represents an evolution in his music and a commitment to political issues.  "Such Noble Men" includes his passionate take on American history in the title track "Indian Giver," as well as songs about gay rights and gun control, along with more personal songs.

Jeremy James is becoming a fixture on college and internet radio, and Friday's show is a great opportunity to see him live in an intimate setting.  Opening for Jeremy will be Almost Awake, the duo of Casey J. Chapman and Dave Shaver performing original music for voice, guitar, and West African hand drum.  The show begins at 8:00 p.m.
